How To Never Miss Your Flight Again
We all fear missing a flight and there are so many things that could go wrong to make this happen. Everyone has near misses and travel horror stories about just this! So how do you avoid it? I have come up with a number of ways to help you never miss your flight again and I have made this post to document it all, so I hope you enjoy these tips and find them helpful. Last but not least, enjoy!
Get to the airport early
Airport hotels are one sure fire way to get to the airport as early as possible and not miss your flight. I tried this out recently at one of the Manchester airport hotels and I was surprised at how well this works. You simply walk to the airport or get a shuttle bus and there is absolutely no stress and it takes no time at all. I loved thinking about the fact that I would normally be waiting for the bus or train and feeling rushed. Getting to the airport early with this method can really help you to have a pain free experience at the airport and will ensure that you never miss that flight you spent so much time finding./p>
Buy or eat beforehand
Waiting in line to buy food at the airport can seriously eat into your time and also into your travel budget! It is therefore a great idea to buy some food beforehand and bring it with you and eat it on the way or at the airport. You could also eat before going to the airport, which means that you won’t have to carry anything with you. This will save you a lot of time that you probably can’t afford to lose and will ensure that you are never late for a flight again and you will be full too.
Put your must have items in one place
When leaving for the airport you can easily forget something crucial and then it would be too late to go and get it again, my tip for avoiding this is by putting everything in the one place and then putting your packing list right next to it. By doing this you can check if you have everything and there is no chance that you can forget something because you can cross check it immediately. This also allows you to pack much more effectively and efficiently and should save you time too!
Get through security fast
Getting through airport security quickly and efficiently is something of an art and is going to vary from airport to airport. My tip for this is definitely to understand exactly what you need to take out at a security checkpoint. This is always your bag, laptop (always out of the bag and separate), belt, keys and wallet. By taking these off before you get to the checkpoint you will certainly save time and the stress of having to take it off at the last minute.
Being polite, calm and courteous also goes a long way with getting you through faster and will help you to avoid being asked too many questions. Also the faster you comply, the faster you will get through, so don’t forget this too.
I also like to target the quickest line to take and the best way to judge this is to look for a line that is moving quickly and has few smaller children in it. Small children often go through checkpoints much slower because their parents need to help them to get everything organised.
