I’m still yet to make it over to Europe, and the strong culture and history allures me greatly. But I am still saving my cash so that I can do it properly. The following is a collection straight out of my dreams of travelling Europe:
Dance all night long and eat amazing foods in Barcelona, Spain
I travel for food; I’m not ashamed to admit that. I love all different types of delicacies and love the idea of tapas, siestas and dancing flamenco all night at a club with a sexy Spaniard. Though Barcelona is somewhere that I have wanted to spend a lot of time in, it also represent s my idea luxurious getaway! Check out this article for some awesome things to do in Barcelona.
Visit family in the UK
I have family in Nottingham and Cornwall, which I am long overdue to see. I almost got there last year when I had a layover in to London to visit a friend, but we decided to go to Secret Garden Party festival instead. To see all my family, I would love to do a UK road trip, staying in coastal caravan holiday parks in Cornwall and cottages in Nottingham, checking out cool middle-age architecture and eating at pubs like a local.
See the birthplace of cabaret in Paris, France
During high school I wanted to be an actress. But once I realised I wasn’t very good at it I got into producing film and television instead. The theatre, and cabaret in particular, have been a big part of my life and personality. I would love to attend a show at the Moulin Rouge club to re-ignite that young love I had of the theatre and see one of the biggest, mind-blowing live shows on Earth. Paris is one of the most romantic and breathtaking cities in the world!
Dive in the park that disappears underwater in Austria
Green Lake in Tragoess is usually a park for most of the year, but when snow from the surrounding mountains melts the park benches, trees, bridges and walkways become submerged creating a bizarre underwater fun-park. I would love to dive this park as I love discovering new things underwater and would find this a real adventure!
Attend O.Z.O.R.A Festival in Hungary
Ozora festival is a legendary Psytrance festival taking place one week each August in Southern Hungary. It is a week-long Psychaelic fest where 30,000 hippies come together to dance and make merry.
The way of St. James (El camino de Santiago), France to Portugal
I love to push my body and my mind to see what I can make myself do. The pilgrimage from France to Spain, and on to Portugal if you wish, is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. To push my body on such a walk and share it with other people on a similar mission sounds to me like a decent way to spend a few weeks, or months. Europe has so much to offer. Recently after reading about a bloggers 3 days in Budapest I decided that was another place I have to visit.
Explore the Balkans!
The Balkans is a truly amazing place to explore my car, to fuel your Balkans wanderlust check out this post…
Get Drunk in Prague
The Czech Republic has some of the best beer in the world and Prague some of the most atmospheric and reasonably prices bars. Need I say more?
I’m still to do the diving in Austria, long overdue! It looks incredible! For St. James Way, you can also do it on Horseback riding or cycling! My dad did it back in ’92 and we came along by car, and know a lot of people who’ve walked it (sort of a tradition in Spain). The scenery is breathtaking and the food along the way…;)
In all those 5 you’ll have an awesome time! ^^
